SCHOLARSHIPS AND OBLIGATIONS

Results Announcement and Recognition

The AISL Harrow Scholarships results will be informed by the offered AISL Harrow School via email.

Final selected pupils, who accept and confirm the Scholarship, will be designated as ‘AISL Harrow Scholars’.

A successful applicant may be offered, at the absolute discretion of the AISL Foundation Board, one of the three AISL Harrow Schools selected by the applicant in his/her application, which may or may not be his/her first or second choice of school.

AISL Harrow Scholars will be recognised in the Hall of Fame at each AISL Harrow School.

Each June, the AISL Harrow Awards Gala Dinner celebrates the accomplishments of AISL Harrow Scholars, together with AISL Talent Awardees.

Feedback is not provided on the submissions for and the selection process of any AISL Scholarships.

Obligations of AISL Harrow Scholars

Receiving an AISL Harrow Scholarship is both an honour and a responsibility.

Scholars are expected to complete their A Level education at their AISL Harrow School. Pupils must demonstrate consistent excellence in their chosen talent area, maintaining the high standards that earned them the scholarships.

In addition to their personal achievement, scholars are encouraged to participate in activities with AISL and the school community, such as mentoring younger pupils, leading workshops, or performing in school productions. This fosters a culture of creativity, collaboration, and skill-sharing across AISL Harrow Schools.

Whole-person development must also remain strong, reflecting the balance between academic attainment and personal growth that the AISL Harrow education promotes. Scholars serve as ambassadors for their School and the wider AISL Harrow community, exemplifying integrity, leadership, and respect in all settings.

To ensure accountability, scholars are required to submit an annual education report detailing their education progress, and their contributions to the School and wider community.

SELECTION PROCESS

参选资格

申请AISL哈罗奖学金的学生须符合以下条件：

a) have completed GCSE/IGCSE study (or equivalent) before 1 September of the application year;

b) where boarding is available, enroll as a full boarding pupil for the two-year duration of the scholarship period; and

c) be academically outstanding and fluent in English in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.

Submission by Applicants

Applicants shall submit the following information for the Selection Process via the AISL Foundation portal for Scholarships at www.aislfoundation.org/aisl-harrow-scholarships, before Sunday 30th November 2025.

a)  AISL Harrow Scholarships Application Form

The applicant will complete the AISL Harrow Scholarships Application Form and select three AISL Harrow Schools that offer A Level studies as their first, second, and third choices.

b)  Personal Statement (Included in the AISL Harrow Scholarships Application Form)

The Statement shall be submitted in PDF format, font size at minimum 11pt, on A4-sized pages, and shall not exceed two (2) pages in length. The Statement shall include:

Academic Passion and Achievements. The pupil should convey their enthusiasm for their chosen field, supported by evidence of academic excellence.
Personal Qualities. The pupil should reflect on experiences showcasing these traits of the four Core Values of AISL Harrow education.
Contribution to Community and Future Aspirations. The pupil should outline how they will advance their education and benefit their community, linking their goals to the School’s Core and Social Values.

Applicants shall also complete the school admissions form of his/her first choice of school, before Sunday 30th November 2025.

The followings are mandatory and must be addressed by all applicants.

• Personal Information Collection Statement.
• Privacy Policy.
• Authenticity.
• Consent from parents / guardians.
• Submissions from applicants are shared between AISL Harrow Schools and AISL Foundation.

You may save your submission and complete it at any time before the application deadline on Sunday 30 November 2025, 6.00pm (China Standard Time).

Submissions that are incomplete, submitted late, or missing required documentation will not be considered for the AISL Harrow Scholarships.

There are no interviews prior to application screening & assessment.

Selection Criteria

Selection of receipt of the AISL Harrow Scholarships will be based on:

a)  Performance at the top quartile of the normal academic scholarship criteria of the AISL Harrow School to which the applicant applies, measured by entrance tests, subject specific tests, prior academic records, and references, and through interviews with the senior academic members of AISL and the School.

b)  English fluency sufficient to enable the applicant to access the course content of their chosen A Level subjects;

c)  Evident ability in, and strong commitment to various aspects of school life, beyond academic achievements; and

d)  Evidence of examples of previous leadership roles, positions of responsibility, or commitment to service activities.

Code of Practice for Applications

AISL Harrow Scholarships are governed by a Code of Practice designed to ensure fairness, transparency, and clarity for all applicants. Every application must follow the requirements and deadlines set out by the AISL Foundation. Incomplete or late submissions will not be considered.

All applications will be assessed by qualified experts against the Selection Criteria, with the process conducted transparently and outcomes communicated promptly. All application materials are treated in strict confidence and used only for the purpose of evaluation, in line with Hong Kong’s Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance.

Pupils retain ownership of their intellectual property and must confirm that all submitted work is original, accurately attributed, and free from infringement. The AISL Foundation reserves the right to verify authenticity and disqualify submissions where necessary.

Any potential conflicts of interest must also be declared to maintain integrity in the selection process. Feedback on applications is not provided, and decisions of the Selection Panel are final. This Code ensures that all pupils are treated fairly and respectfully throughout the Scholarships process.
